Dissolved Air Flotation
This process required the same chemical consideration as the clarifier above but in this case the flocculated solids are encouraged to rise to the surface by attaching small air bubbles to each particle. The surface of the tank becomes covered with the sludge and scrapers continually remove the sludge from the surface. The clear water is taken from the bottom of the vessel.
